R. Larry Smith, 7th District Commissioner
R. Larry Smith formed his insurance agency, R. Larry Smith and Associates, in 1980 after working four years with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. He has served in various offices with the Knoxville Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, formerly the Knoxville Association of Life Underwriters. In addition to being active in the professional organization, Commissioner Smith previously served as Chairman of the Knox County Republican Party. He has held various offices of the Halls Republican Club, and is currently serving as Vice President. Mr. Smith is also a former Metropolitan Planning Commissioner having served eight years.
